15th Annual "They Are Worthy"
Benefit Softball Tournament,
Daly City, July 14 & 15, 2012

SWC's 15th annual "They are Worthy" Benefit Softball Tournament was held in Daly City on July 14 and 15 at Westlake Park. Approximately $1,800 was raised, and many donations of sports equiment were collected from participating players and teams, all for SWC youth programs.

A total of 4 men's teams and 3 coed teams participated in the weekend event. ALL teams in ALL divisions divisions were guaranteed 3 games.

Championship teams were awarded SWC mugs, and MVP prizes and All Stars from ALLparticipating team were also awarded a choice of prizes, ranging from local attraction passes, gift bags, and Giants tickets, and restaurant and store gift cards. In all, more than $1,100 worth of prizes were awarded to teams, players, and participants!

Our event raffle is ongoing until July 28, 2012, with a Grand Prize of a 4-day, 3-night, fishing trip in Mexico (courtesy Baja Pirates)! Other prizes include complimentary dinners, local attraction passes, live musical theater tickets, a San Francisco Giants autographed photo (Javier Lopez), SF Giants tickets, and other gift certificates and gift cards. The raffle allows us to raise even more needed funds for our kids!

Congratulations to all champions, MVPs and All Stars, and thanks to ALL teams for their participation and support. All funds raised will go directly to providing deserving children with much needed sports equipment, skills training, and mentoring programs (see where we've worked here).
