8th Annual "They Are Worthy"
SWC Benefit Softball Tournament,
San Francisco, July 9 & 10, 2005

SWC's 8th annual "They are Worthy" Benefit Softball Tournament, held in San Francisco on July 9 and 10 at Moscone Recreation Center, was a great success. Almost $3,000 was raised for SWC programs, and some great sports equipment donations were collected from participating players and teams.

A total of 10 coed teams and 8 men's teams participated. The 10 coed teams were divided into a 5-team upper (comp) division and a 5-team lower (rec) division. The DD/C men's teams were divided into two pools of 4 teams each, and the top two teams from each pool advanced to the single elimination finals. ALL teams in ALL divisions were guaranteed 3 games.

Congratulations to all champions, all MVPs and All Stars, and ALL participating teams, for making this year's tournament our most successful one yet. All funds raised will go directly to providing children with much needed sports equipment, skills training, and mentoring programs.
